Looks like Flint Lockwood is going to return to the island of Swallow Falls to save the world – again! – but with a musical twist this time!
No, I don’t mean that Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs will be up on stage on Broadway, but rather have a legendary icon be performing for the sequel . Paul McCartney’s new single, “New” will be featured in upcoming sequel to the film.
Paul McCartney is glad to be part of the new film, too. He said, “I loved watching the first film with my kids, so I’m very happy to have my new song included in Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2.”
Lia Vollack, who is the president of Worldwide Music for Sony Pictures, said: “We’re thrilled and honored to have Paul’s infectious and inspiring song in the film.”
The single “New,” produced by Mark Ronson, is now available for download on iTunes. It’s the title track of Paul McCartney’s upcoming album “New” which will be released on October 15th
