Courtesy of ScreenrantWithout a doubt, Penny Dreadful’s most talked about moment is when Ethan Chandler (Josh Hartnett) and Dorian Grey (Reeve Carney) lock lips and presumably make love. In the end, it’s no surprise that Dorian and Ethan slept together because Dorian has a tendency to sleep around, whether it be with Vanessa Ives (Eva Green) or Brona Croft (Billie Piper).
However, it does come as a shock that he decided to pursue someone of the same sex. The scene had everyone shocked, and to this day (the episode aired in June) anyone who has seen or not seen the show talks about that specific scene.
Courtesy of TumblrCarney revealed to Brian Particelli of toofab at Comic-Con that, “[he] knew that something like that would likely happen at some point and [he] figures he could certainly do a lot worse than Josh Hartnett,” further quipping, “It’s probably all downhill for me in terms of any man-on-man action [he] might have on the show. They’ll have to keep their game high!”
Fingers crossed that the writers will consider dabbling more with the relationship of Dorian and Ethan.
