For a musician/producer the dream always seems to be to win a Grammy. But in an age with so much crossover in popular music and movies, an Oscar maybe becoming the new dream. This dream could be a welcome change from the recent news Pharrell Williams has been facing.
Pharrell has been nominated for an Oscar for his song “Happy” from the Despicable Me 2 soundtrack alongside “Alone Yet Not Alone” (Alone Yet Not Alone), “Let It Go” (Frozen), “the Moon Song” (Her), and “Ordinary Love” (Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom) and now Williams will get to celebrate with all of Hollywood as it was announced that Pharrell will be performing “Happy” as part of the Oscar broadcast. Even if he doesn’t win, getting to perform your song for millions is a pretty big accomplishment.
