Since Disney bought Marvel back in 2009, they have yet to crossover the characters; until now.
Disney’s animated series Phineas and Ferb will air Phineas and Ferb: Mission Marvel this summer. The show will feature Spider Man, the Hulk, Iron Man, and Thor who have been robbed of their powers by the evil Dr. Doofenshmirtz.
While the superheroes get help from the famous siblings, the evil genius is in cahoots with Red Skull, Whiplash, Venom, and M.O.D.O.K.
The crossover fits because as Eric Coleman, the senior VP of the original series at Disney Television Animation, stated, “The Marvel series and Phineas and Ferb both feature strong, memorable characters and compelling stories for kids and families alike, and we’re excited to present their great match-up to Disney Channel and Disney XD viewers this summer.”
The episode will air August 16th at 8pm on the Disney Channel.
