Five years ago, Lois Matykowski lost her wedding ring. She searched high and low in every closet and shelf. She checked all the places it should’ve been, and even the places it shouldn’t, to no avail.
One place she didn’t think to look was Tucker, the family dog.
Now Tucker has a reputation in the Matykowski house for being a food burglar. One blistering summer day two weeks ago, Lois and her granddaughter were outside eating Popsicles, Tucker panting and watching nearby. Suddenly her granddaughter’s Popsicle disappeared, stick and all.
Well, the stick was the final straw and Tucker vomited all his ill-gotten booty right back up.
Two days later, he vomited again, this time bringing up the long-lost wedding ring. When Lois looked in the paper towel she was using to clean up the mess, she got the shock of her life.
“I’m just elated,” she told the local television station. “He threw up on the carpeting and I don’t even care.”
So Lois has her ring back, Tucker is a hero, and everyone now wants a dog that throws up diamonds. A happy ending for everyone.
