Pompeii has released a new trailer in which Kit Harington and Emily Browning play star crossed lovers in this “period disaster movie,” that takes place in 79 A.D.
The movie focuses on Milo (Harington), “a Celtic slave, who fights in the gladiatorial arena and falls for his master’s daughter (Browning) on the eve of cataclysmic eruption of Mount Vesuvius.”
Milo also comes face to face with the man who killed his family, who is played by Kiefer Sutherland.
The film is to be directed by Paul WS Anderson, who is known for The Three Musketeers, The Resident Evil franchise and Mortal Kombat. Also starring in the movie is Carrie-Anne Moss, Adawele Akinnoye-Agbaje, Jessica Lucas, and Jared Harris.
The film is said to be released on February 21, 2014.
