The legendary drag queen is BACK!
With the brand new season of the smash hit show “RuPaul’s Drag Race“ back, RuPaul delivered something else for all of her fans: A brand new album!!!
The album, titled “Born Naked,” is chock full of dance floor jams, and yours truly is absolutely in love with the finished product. Not only does the album feature some guest stars such as original Weather Girl Martha Wash, as well as Frankmusik, it also included an incredible duet with life long friend and “Drag Race” judge Michelle Visage.
The album kicks off with Ru actually rapping in the song “Freaky Money” and then moves into my favorite track off the album: “Sissy That Walk.
Only Ru could sing a song about this!! The album is loaded with killer verses including: “Less they payin’ your bills, pay them bitches no mind.”
The verses come hard and fierce, but then comes the stomping breakdown chorus and it will have you shaking your butt all over the place. In the clubs, in your living room or wherever you feel like dancing!

Another standout track is the duet with Frankmusik. This is a song that could easily be a major hit on the radio if it was released. The chemistry between RuPaul’s and Frankmusik’s vocals are really something and that chorus.
THAT CHORUS.
Like I said, this song would be a smash hit if it was released on the radio. Top 40 would eat this up!!!!
The album continues with dance floor anthems “Dance With U,” “Adrenaline,” and “Modern Love”.
Ru slows it down with a song called “Can I Get An Amen” alongside Weather Girl Martha Wash and the track is a nice display of both ladies. She never really gets sentimental on the album until then, but it’s greatly appreciated. The subtlety in the track is incredible.
And now we make room for one hell of a DIVA DUET.
RuPaul is joined by her longtime friend and “Drag Race” judge
Michelle Visage
on a track called “Let The Music Play,” and I’ve had this on repeat ever since I heard the album. Absolutely stellar track with both of them sounding great. The lyrics really hit home for any BFF’s.
This album proves Ru has never lost the edge. From her iconic “Supermodel“ to now “Born Naked”.
I cannot praise the album enough and truly hope you all head on over to iTunes and buy it!!
And don’t forget to check out season 6 of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” every Monday night on LOGO!!
