As the first week of March comes to an end, so does another week of television. Here’s are some of the highlights from your favourite TV shows this week.

Grey’s Anatomy: The Alex Karev Highlights Reel

In early January, Justin Chambers, an original cast member of Grey’s Anatomy and fan favourite, announced that he would be leaving the show after fifteen years. Then came the question of how would they write off Alex Karev. This week, we officially said farewell to Alex. Alex wrote letters to Meredith, Jo, Richard, and Bailey, and he tells them that he is living on a farm in Kansas with Izzie and his twins. It turns out Izzie used their embryos they froze way back when to have kids. We get a look back as we see Alex and his relationships with his coworkers, friends, and lovers from the beginning of the show until the recent past. It was a sweet send-off that reminded fans just how good Alex turned out to be. At least the writers didn’t kill him off. We will miss you Dr. Alex Karev!

Love Is Blind: The Reunion

The cast of Netflix’s Love Is Blind returned for a reunion episode following the three-week event on Netflix. The series was originally filmed in late 2018 and the couples who got engaged in the pods reunited a year later. There was lots of drama but here are some of the highlights from the one-hour reunion.

  • Lauren and Cameron have a dog named Sparks
  • Damian and Giannina got back together
  • Carlton proposed to Diamond and no one really knows why
  • Amber went off on Jessica for trying to steal her man in Mexico
  • Amber and Matt revealed that they almost got divorced but as of right now they are working on their relationship

Doctor Who: The Timeless Child Explained

The season finale of Doctor Who dropped one of the most Whoniverse-altering revelations. This week, the Master traps the Doctor in the ruins of Gallifrey and forces her to stare into the Matrix, an ancient archive of all Timelord knowledge and history. It turns out the Doctor is not the last of the Timelords, but rather she is the first, the Timeless Child. A long, long, long time ago an indigenous Gallifreyan called Tecteun found a child from another universe so she raised her as her own. The child had the ability to regenerate. Tecteun officially adopted the child and spliced her own DNA, creating what we know as the Timelords. The Timelords recruited the child into a top-secret organization called Division. Division wiped her memory when necessary, as she grew into who we know as the Doctor. It’s unclear how many lives she’s actually lived but it is clear that all this started way before William Hartnell’s Doctor ran away in a stolen TARDIS.

Riverdale: Jughead is Alive

This shouldn’t really come as a surprise to anyone, but after a season worth of build-up, it was revealed that Jughead is alive. He faked his death as part of a plan to get Stonewall Prep students to crack under the pressure of covering up the murder/forced suicide of English teacher, Mr. Chipping. After Jug was expelled from Stonewall for investigating the murder, he figured it would be easier to continue investigating as a ghost—operating unseen in the shadows.
