J.K. Simmons Hints At Possible Spider-Man Movie And Return

Oscar-nominated actor, J.K. Simmons, teases a potential return as J. Jonah Jameson for a ‘New’ Spider-Man film.

Ever since Sony’s reboot of the Spider-Man series, including the two Amazing Spider-Man films directed by Marc Webbs, J.K. Simmons, who recently starred in Whiplash, hasn’t been seen as the Spidey-hating editor-in-chief, J. Jonah Jameson. It is pretty hard to see another actor take over the beloved role after all.

With this in mind, it appeared that the Oscar-nominated actor may not make a return to the role…until now.

In an interview with Howard Stern on Sirius XM’s The Howard Stern Show, Stern asked Simmons if there will be another Spider-Man movie, in which he responded with “I just heard that we…that’s a possibility.” However, the most significant part of the interview is that Simmons would “absolutely” do it again.

While this is bound to make a lot of fans happy, this interview does reveal the possibility of another Spider-Man movie in the making. Would it be The Amazing Spider-Man 3? Or will it be the Sinister Six spinoff? OR is it something we aren’t even aware of? While it seems that his response might as well be a general one, it’s still pretty great to know that he would like to take on the role again.

PopWrappers, what do you think he might be referring to?
