PREMIERE: ‘alex’ Makes His Debut With “unconditional”

Singer Songwriter, and Producer, alex, is making his debut with a stunning track titled “unconditional:. Bringing a fresh perspective to pop music; one that is thought provoking, emotionally charged, and inspires a celebration of life for all its highs and lows. With lyrics that awaken, empower, and invigorate your mind, alex’s sultry vocals paint life’s peaks and valleys without ever compromising the truth.

Growing up, alex spent his days singing and dreaming of the journey he now calls his own. Throughout college, however, the drive to pursue music became stronger than ever. He studied marketing and business, though he spent class time writing song lyrics in lieu of taking notes. While his classmates tailored their assignments to different products and companies, alex focused his projects on pop music.

In his final college years, alex earned money busking on the streets of Boston, regularly attracting impressive crowds of total strangers, which only reinforced that this was the path he would take. This fire within him led alex to graduate early and make the solo cross-country trek to Los Angeles with nothing but his clothes in the trunk.

There is no turning back now for the singer/songwriter/producer. He wants you to know that in a society that insists we play it safe, following your dreams is an act of rebellion. He knows better than anyone that sometimes things need to fall apart so you can build them from the ground up. These years of highs and lows led alex to write songs like Unconditional to spread his message of hope, gratitude, and dreaming big.

Unconditional was written, recorded, and produced by alex in Los Angeles. On the debut track he sings, “We could be down on our luck, but I’ll never give up […] The world’s got problems, but we’ve got this love.” Unconditional was named Songwriter Universe’s “Best Song of the Month” in August 2021.

Once he got to LA, alex taught himself to play guitar and produce his own songs, while honing his songwriting. Like many young artists, alex worked jobs at restaurants and walking dogs. Eventually, his effervescent personality and hard-to-beat work ethic landed him in a managerial position at a busy downtown Los Angeles restaurant. He was comfortable, but felt an inescapable emptiness as his pursuit of music sat idle.

After a tragic couple of years that held the loss of a parent and the devastating implosion of a 4-year relationship, alex decided he couldn’t and wouldn’t settle. The lowest points led him to do what he truly wanted to do. Since the pandemic stopped the world from going out, alex turned inward, spending the next year writing, recording, and producing a collection of songs. This music is the culmination of a dream that flickered…but never went out.

This anthem of belief and unwavering love could not have come at a more ideal time for listeners everywhere; over the last year, we’ve all experienced isolation in a way we never have before. For many of us, the pandemic has tested our relationships with ourselves and the people we love. For alex, it led him to realize that love is everywhere; when you love unconditionally, there’s nothing to prove, nothing to lose… “No we don’t got to be perfect / Nothing that’s easy is worth it / Come love me like you deserve it.” alex is living proof for so many people that their peak is yet to come, to trust their gut, and to never settle.
