The end must be near because PepsiCo. has confirmed that Dewitos, a Doritos-flavored Mountain Dew, is a real thing.

The drink was first reported by Reddit user Steve Barnes, a freshman at Kent State University, who was lucky enough (or lost a bet) to taste the new soda.
A Pepsi representative didn’t say where these taste testings will take place, but they did confirm with Quartz that the flavor vault has been opened.
“We are always testing out new flavors of Mountain Dew, and giving our fans a voice in helping decide on the next new product has always been important to us. We opened up the DEW flavor vault and gave students a chance to try this Doritos-inspired flavor as part of a small program at colleges and universities.”
Before you cast this new drink aside, Barnes admits that the new flavored chip, flavored drink wasn’t as bad as you might think.
“It honestly wasn’t that disgusting. It tasted like orange, with a Doritos aftertaste. It tasted like straight Doritos afterwards, though. Weirdest thing I’ve ever drunken.”
Barnes also said that other flavors were also being tested, such as: lemon ginger, mango habenero, and rainbow sherbet.
