Oh screw it:

THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT MUSIC NEWS YOU WILL READ ALL DAY. WEEK. MONTH. YEAR.

Is that sufficient enough?

It’s been over 6 long years since pop icon Janet Jackson delivered her last studio album “Discipline”, but we now have confirmation that she is officially working on the 2008 follow-up.

In a new interview with Barefoot Sound, producer and engineer Ian Cross confirmed the delicious details, sending many music lovers (like myself) into a frenzy:

“Janet [Jackson] and I had a little bit more of a special relationship because we became friends naturally,” Cross told Barefoot of their ongoing working relationship. “You meet a lot of people and you become friends with a couple of them, but sometimes there is one person you become really good friends with…She asked me to work on an album with her called Discipline in 2007 and, again, just do the same thing, produce the vocals. That led to her hiring me full-time to work with her. That’s where I’m at now.”

Cross actually had a hand in Janet’s previous 3 studio albums (Damito Jo, 20 Y.O, and of course Discipline).

That’s pretty much all I can say without completely losing my mind over this it of news….

Prepare yourselves…Miss Jackson’s return is IMMINENT!
