One of the biggest rules of fashion is to not wear white or lighter colors after Labor Day.
But that rule was quickly thrown out the window on Twitter when President Barack Obama stepped out to a press conference in a tan suit.
The press conference was discussing the military conflicts in Syria, Iraq, and Ukraine, but most were distracted by the loud tan suit.
OK now that the suit is off the screen can someone tell us what Obama said

Obama is talking about ISIS, Ukraine, immigration and more here. You know, "news." Yet people are talking about a tan suit…

Almost immediately when he stepped out, the suit was trending.

And trendy things usually mean parodies.
We need a online White House petition to force Obama to always wear a #TanSuit

But here are some of my favorite tweets that at least gave me a good chuckle.

The White House announces a previously unscheduled event: the burning of a tan suit.

I'm sorry but you can't declare war in a suit like that.

OBAMA: I'm not wearing this suit, Joe
BIDEN: No, no you look great
OBAMA: Fine. But I'm not wearing the Sea World hat— Eric (@toomanyerics) August 28, 2014
While this did give me a good laugh for a little bit while browsing my Twitter feed, it makes me upset that people are focusing more on the suit and not about the issues. It’s also three days before Labor Day. Please calm down and leave the fashion critiquing to Joan Rivers, who will hopefully recover from her recent health scare.
What do you think of the President’s tan suit and the media buzz?
