This is one way to fuel the drug rumors…
One Direction sat down for a very special appearance with TODAY host Matt Lauer on location in Orlando, Florida this morning, but somebody was missing in action: Member Zayn Malik!
The boys were there to promote their new album Four which dropped today, and Lauer asked the other guys about Zayn’s absence.
Liam said:
He’s got a tummy bug so he’s not very well. We only found out this morning so we’re really sad, he is as well, that he can’t be here for our album release… It’s still going to be a great day, I’m sure.
Lauer didn’t stop there though, and pressed on asking the guys if there was any truth to the rumors that Zayn’s been using drugs.
This didn’t exactly go over very well with the 1D crowd, who booed Lauer when he asked the question.
Liam quickly shot down the rumors however:
No, he’s just got a stomach bug. He’s ok, he’s just at home — he’s got to rest.
Pretty big day for Zayn to miss. What do you guys think?
