If you’ve ever played Minecraft or watched the web series Red vs. Blue, you know who the guys of Rooster Teeth are. The group of just-out-of-college guys in Austin, Texas is most known for their online gaming projects, such as Achievement Hunter, RWBY, Red Vs. Blue and Rage Quit.

Now, after 11 years of creating exclusive web content, they’re stepping up their game and are getting ready to produce their first feature length film: Lazer Team.

The live-action science fiction comedy movie is based around the idea of a one-time radio signal received from space in the late 1970’s that was supposedly never decoded. However, it was decoded and it told us two things: we are not alone and the galaxy is a dangerous place.

The project’s Indiegogo raised its goal of $650,000 in the first 10 hours, and has raised a total of $944,408 with 29 days left to go. The more funds that Rooster Teeth raises, the better the quality; better visual and audio effects, more cast and crew members and better shooting locations.

The creators at Rooster Teeth even put together a neat and organized pie chart to show their funders exactly how their funds will be used. You can view their chart below:

The men and women at Rooster Teeth promise that all the funds will go 100% into creating a final project. They guarantee a final product to be available in Spring of 2015. They also have a $1,000,000 stretch goal which will add new perks and more content.
