Protests Erupt Around Another Police-Sanctioned Killing

More than 400 people marched from Woodruff park to City Hall in Olympia, WA in response to yet another police-sanctioned shooting wounding two black men.

First off, let’s clarify that using the term “officer-involved shooting” is bullshit because it’s jargon meant to imply that either the cop was shot or did the shooting and is intentionally unclear. None of that nonsense here. Let’s call a spade a spade.

Two black men were, surprisingly shot by cops in Olympia, Washington for being suspects that purportedly shoplifted beer. Even more surprisingly, both survived, and are expected to recover, despite one being in critical condition. At least according to “authorities” (i.e. fake-ass police).

Upwards of 400 people amassed at Woodruff Park, a little ways away from the shooting scene, preparing for a march to City Hall. Signs emblazoned with “Black Lives Matter” were, naturally, waved. Justly so. The protest was peaceful, as they almost always are.

Olympia Police Chief claims that his officers were assaulted, but oddly enough, neither were injured. Hmm. How convenient. I sure am glad those officers are safe!

Mayor Stephen Buxbaum said, “Let’s not be reactive, Let’s take the path of consciously addressing our questions of what happened as best we can — seek justice and healing.”

Tell that to your fucking cops, bro.
