Seth Rogen’s R-Rated ‘Sausage Party’ Makes A Lasting Impression With First Trailer

Seth Rogen continues his string of memorable and raunchy comedies with his first animated film ‘Sausage Party.’ Check out the R-Rated trailer HERE!

On Monday night (March 14), Seth Rogen tweeted the first ever trailer for his upcoming animated movie Sausage Party. Don’t be fooled by the colorful animation and smiling, anthropomorphic food though; Sausage Party is already shaping up to be a movie of Rogen’s caliber.

The happy-go-lucky foods live in a grocery store, and their greatest ambition in life is to be chosen by shoppers. The seem to think that life is a party and being selected is the highest honor, until they realize the truth: food is made to be eaten. And, as the trailer emphasizes, it’s eaten violently. Upon realizing that being chosen leads to an untimely end, Rogen’s character vows to return to the grocery store to warn his fellow foods of the danger.

The movie stars Rogen, James Franco, Jonah Hill, Danny McBride, and Craig Robinson (you know, all the guys from This Is The End) as walking, talking, (heavily) swearing foods. And of course, it’s only fitting that Rogen’s hot dog character coughs up smoke, as is advertised in the trailer.

The trailer boasts a handful of other big name lending their voices to the R-rated comedy, including Kristen Wiig (who plays a hotdog bun and Rogen’s romantic interest), Bill Hader, Michael Cera, Paul Rudd, and Nick Kroll.

Sausage Party will be in theaters August 12. Watch the swear-packed trailer below:
