You all remember “The Dress”, right? That image floating around the internet that suddenly broke the minds of everyone in the world since apparently no one could tell if the dress in question was black and blue or white and gold before fading into internet obscurity where it belongs just as quickly? One Texas man will never forget.
Daniel Howland, a 24 year old piercer from Austin, Texas, thought it would be funny to get the infamous image of the dress tattooed on himself. Adding to the hilarity (?) is the fact that the tattoo is clearly blue and black but features the caption “WHITE AND GOLD?”
“I have an awesome tattoo on my leg. It’s just dumb.” Howland explained (pretty sure he’s about half right). “I pretty much got it because, I mean, I keep up with all the social memes and hysteria and whatever, and this is the only one that I really couldn’t wrap my brain around. So I just decided to do it.”
Howland got the tattoo for free from a tattoo artist who also works in his shop in about 20 minutes. For what it’s worth, while Howland saw the original image as blue and black, the artist saw it as white and gold.
