Rebecca Ferguson Negotiating To Star In ‘The Girl On The Train’

Mission Impossible’s Rebecca Ferguson is negotiating for a role in the movie adaptation of Paula Hawkins’ The Girl On The Train.

Mission Impossible: Rouge Nation‘s Rebecca Ferguson is said to be negotiating to star in new thriller The Girl On The Train.

Before starring in Mission Impossible, Ferguson was known for playing the lead role in the mini-series The White Queen, where she played Elizabeth Woodville , the first commoner to be crowned the Queen Consort of England.

If negotiations for The Girl On The Train prove successful , Ferguson will be playing the role of Anna , the mistress of a man named Tom who left his wife Rachel, who will be played by Emily Blunt.

Rachel is the titular girl on the train, an alcoholic who rides the train daily , and fantasizes about the life of the seemingly perfect couple who lives on a house her train passes by.

The film is based on a novel by author Paula Hawkins. The book was set in England, but the movie will be set in the US. Tate Taylor of The Help is set to direct , while Erin Cressida Wilson wrote the screenplay. Marc Platt will be producing the film , while Jared Le Boff and Celia Costas will serve as Executive Producers.
