Renee Zellweger Reveals More About Bridget Jones’s Baby

As we all patiently await the release of the third installment of the Bridget Jones series, the lead Renee Zellweger has finally revealed some plot details! It seems that our favorite lady Bridget Jones is expecting a baby — obvious from the title — but she’s not so sure if the father is the dashing Mark Darcy (Colin Firth) or the new man in her life Mark Qwant (Patrick Demspey). Jones and Darcy never seem to be able to hold on to that happily ever after. The story is very intriguing.

Zellweger said about bringing back Bridget Jones, “I love this character, I like that she tells stories about what it’s like to be a woman and these really relatable situations at certain times in life. It’s so right to tell a story about Bridget in this stage of her life.”

We are so glad she decided to bring this character back, and we’re even more glad that Colin Firth will bring back Mr. Darcy for — dare I say? — a fourth time! Yes, we’re counting his 6 hour Pride & Prejudice work. Check out more details when the next issue of Entertainment Weekly hits the stands.
