Resident Evil saw great success in the video game’s adaptation to the big screen. After five films released in the series, the action is not going anywhere but it’s reportedly moving to the small screen.
The sixth film of the series is currently in the works, but recent news want Resident Evil receiving an adaptation for television right after. Constantin Film, a production house from Germany, seems to be responsible for putting the series together. It’s true that this might be a chance to get a proper adaptation of all the action in the video games, since the films were not quite that close.
Further details have yet to be announced regarding Resident Evil landing on TV. Moreover, it is still unknown whether starring actress Milla Jovovich will follow the franchise during its move from the big screen to the small one. If one thing’s for sure, it’s that filming will begin after the production of the final film is over.
Apart from Resident Evil, Constantin Film is also responsible for the television adaptation of Moral Instruments.
