Review: Niall Horan’s Heartbreaking Ballad, “Put A Little Love on Me”.

Our guy, Niall Horan is back with the second single of his second era. The amount of heart and emotion that he put into this single is really just beyond perfection if we’re being honest. “Nice To Meet Ya” was a different sound than what we are used to hearing from him, however, this new single is Ballad-Horan that a lot of the fans are craving post-Flicker.

“We fight, we get high holding on to love. We came down ’cause there was nothing holding us. Is it wrong that I still wonder where you are? Is it wrong that I still don’t know my heart?” Niall says in the first verse of the track.

Niall wrote this track with the amazing Jamie Scott and Daniel Bryer, which are just fantastic writers. Additionally, (Jamie and Daniel) produced the single, and Mike Needle, while Greg Kurstin arranged and produced the strings.

“Do you hate the weekend ’cause nobody’s calling? I’ve still got so much love hidden beneath this skin. So darling, Put a little love on me.” Niall continues.

Just wanted to release this song because I feel like it deserves to be released and I want you to have it now,” Niall Tweeted on Twitter ahead of the tracks midnight release. “I’m jet-lagged out of my mind but I couldn’t not stay up to see your reaction to this song. I love this song and I’m glad it’s yours now, can’t wait to play it live on tour for ya!” If I’m being completely honest, I am not ready for the live footage from the tour of this track. Can you hear me crying, now?

Not only is Niall bringing his new music on tour in 2020, but Niall will also be gracing our presence with a performance on Saturday Night Live on Dec. 14. which is sure to be the talk of our social media for days to come, because that is about to have us all in our feels.

Moral of the story, if you are not following Niall Horan on his journey to legend status, you are truly missing out. Not only was “Flicker” the album perfect but “Put A Little Love on Me” gives us a lot of the ballad vibes that he provided us with on his debut album — which I can never get enough of.

Put A Little Love on Me” is so perfect in every aspect of the word, continuing another great era. Niall’s second album will be here in the first half of 2020. While you’re waiting for that album, be sure to purchase tickets to his upcoming tour with supporting acts, Lewis Capaldi and Fletcher. Also, don’t forget you can catch him on SNL Dec. 14.
