Richard Sherman Still Riding His NFL High Horse In Twitter War With Deangelo Hall

It’s been over a month since the Seattle Seahawks won Super Bowl XLVII, so you may have thought you wouldn’t be hearing any more from their cornerback, Richard Sherman.

Well, you were wrong.

Sherman is not one to shy away from his opinions. His postgame interview with Erin Andrews in January, where he made negative comments about San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree, had some questioning whether it was confidence behind his words or if it was just cockiness.  If you follow Sherman on Twitter, you can see he still has no problem voicing his opinions.

On Thursday, Sherman took to Twitter to debate who was the best cornerback in the NFL with New England Patriot LaGarrette Blount. The discussion got heated when Washington Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall joined the conversation by simply tweeting at Sherman, “I know you can’t wait for your turn young fella. Stay patience [sic] and keep working.”

The two continued to argue over which is the best in the business, with Sherman responding to DeAngelo with tweets such as: “Let me know when you ever have an 8 pick season….please…I’ll be awaiting that call.” He also sent the tweet “is that all u had that season?” when DeAngelo mentioned his game interceptions.

DeAngelo explained the Twitter war by calling and talking to 106.7 The Fan in Washington D.C.

He told The Fan that, “I think it was just me wanting to voice my opinion and him wanting to voice his… It is not anything personal. When I see him it’s not going to be a fight and a brawl. We might talk some more, have a discussion a little more, but there definitely won’t be any fisticuffs.”

Hopefully that’s the case, because DeAngelo and Sherman will both be seeing each other this summer at a charity softball game held by Arizona Cardinal’s wide receiver, Larry Fitzgerald. That may not seem like a big deal, but it’s the same softball game where Crabtree tried to start a fight with Sherman last year.

Yikes. Save the drama for your mamas, boys. Personally, I agree with NFL free agent, Chad Johnson: “Both of you are great at what you do, case closed!!!!!”
