Ricky Whittle Shares First Pics From American Gods Table Read

Actor Ricky Whittle tweeted out pictures from the first table read of the Starz series American Gods, based on the novel by Neil Gaiman.

Ricky Whittle shared images of the cast from the first table read of American Gods on Monday — and now we can all start really freaking out. The new Starz show, based on the novel by Neil Gaiman, is set to debut in 2017 and is one of the most anticipated series to hit the network. Whittle stars as Shadow Moon, an ex-con hired by the enigmatic Mr. Wednesday (Ian McShane) as a personal bodyguard, finding himself in the middle of a war on the “New Gods” taking hold in America.

It’s clear from the pictures, the cast and crew are every bit as excited for American Gods as we are! Pictured in the group shot are series writer Michael Green, show runner and producer Bryan Fuller, Yetide Badaki (Bilquis), Bruce Langley (Technical Boy), Ian McShane, Ricky Whittle, and director, David Slade.

Whittle previously revealed how honored he was to be working alongside Ian McShane, so we don’t blame him for taking a moment to fanboy on their first day.

And we can’t help but also be excited at the first sight of Shadow and Mr. Wednesday together! Bryan Fuller tweeted out this image and we’re kinda dying to know exactly what’s being said.
