Robert Downey Jr. Presents Real-Life Iron Man Arm To Disabled Child

Robert Downey Jr. used his good looks, brains and Iron Man-ness to present a disabled little boy with a real-life, bionic Iron Man arm.

Robert Downey Jr. is confident and cool enough to never worry about being typecast as the incredibly popular Tony Stark, a.k.a. Iron Man. Instead, Downey loves to slip into the character even outside of the realm of Marvel movies.

Downey recently donned the famous red and gold armored gauntlet to join the efforts of some real life heroes. The Microsoft OneNote Collective Project, led by Albert Manero, enlisted Downey to help present a 7-year-old boy named Alex with his own Iron Man style bionic arm.

Manero’s team created the bionic prosthetic specifically for Alex, who was born with a partially developed right arm.

Check out the very sweet, charming, and pretty hilarious encounter in the video below. And if the fist bump between the two gauntlets doesn’t make you tear up at least a little, you may want to check to see if the Arc Reactor in your heart has run out of juice.
