Robert Kirkman’s ‘Invincible’ Ordered By Amazon

Amazon and Kirkman are gearing up to give us eight hour long episodes based on his series “Invincible.”

Many may know Robert Kirkman as the creator of hit Comic Book and Television series, The Walking Dead. But, did you know that Kirkman has more to offer the sci-fi genre than just the zombie apocalypse?

Last year, Amazon secured a partnership with Kirkman and has now come to cash in. Amazon and Kirkman are gearing up to give us eight hour long episodes based on his series “Invincible.” The series will follow a father and his son, as the son is learning how to become a superhero.

This comic book series just came to an end in February, after a 15 year long run. We cannot be more excited see this series come to animated life and neither can Kirkman. He states, “I couldn’t be more proud of the series Cory Walker, Ryan Ottley and I did together for over 15 years. To know our characters will live on in multiple iterations in other media is almost too exciting to bear. What Amazon is allowing us to do in animated form is nothing short of ground-breaking, and I can’t wait for our rabid fan base to experience it.”

All we know so far is that the show will be produced by Kirkman’s Skybound Entertainment  company. Robert Kirkman, Simon Racioppa, David Alpert, and Catherine Winder will be the executive producers, and Racioppa will also serve as the showrunner.

We can not wait to see how this comic will play out in animated life. But we know that Robert Kirkman is not a man to disappoint.
