Robin Thicke has once again joined his forces with Nicki Minaj on new single, “Back Together”, and the two have now dropped the accompanying music video.
Almost half a decade after their first collaboration, 2009′s “Shakin’ It 4 Daddy”, Robin Thicke and Nicki Minaj joined the forces once again for the former’s brand-new single, “Back Together”. The two have now teamed up again in the accompanying music video.
Directed by Ben Mor, the visuals for the Max Martin co-crafted funky tune find Robin Thicke throwing an old-school kind of pool party at his luxurious Miami mansion. He and his pals appear with their suits on, while ladies parade and drink cocktails with their swimsuits on. There’s a playful mood between the guests and the singer is enjoying the ladies’ company, before Nicki Minaj makes her appearance to bring the heat up and give Thicke a hard time. Eventually, the crooner takes center on the lawn and entertains his guests by singing “Back Together”.
The track serves as the second official single to be lifted from the crooner’s forthcoming, as-yet-untitled eighth studio album, that’s scheduled to come out later this year. Robin Thicke kicked off the era with the release of the underrated lead single, titled “Morning Sun”. Check out the music video for “Back Together” below.
