The world hasn’t been able to stop talking about the incident that took place between Robin Thicke and Miley Cyrus on the MTV Video Music Awards several weeks ago.

The two sang Thicke’s hit song, “Blurred Lines” along with Miley’s, “We Can’t Stop.”

It was Cyrus’ suggestive choreography with a foam finger that has really had people talking about it. Judging from the sounds of it, that is exactly what they wanted anyway.

Robin Thicke had previously said none of what happened had been rehearsed. He said that it was just sort of something that took place in the moment.

According to Digital Spy, however, that might not be the case.

“We knew what we were getting ourselves into,” he said. “We’re entertainers, and the VMA’s are the perfect place for a little shock and awe.”

He went on to describe the ideas they had thrown around earlier, which ended up being seen on the show. He then continued, “We kind of knew when we were in rehearsal and we were like—Obviously a few people are going to have something to say about this.”

Thicke also said: “The whole point was to excite and provoke and entertain. I thought it was silly and funny.”

Apparently, Miley didn’t mean it in a sexual way, as she was just being “humorous and naughty,” according to Robin.

They might have made history, but it might not be gaining too many fans anytime soon.
