The final film starring Robin Williams, Boulevard, may never make its way to the big screen according to reports from the Mirror.
The film, in which Williams plays a gay man, has received positive reviews at both Outfest in LA and the Tribeca Film Festival in New York. However, it is struggling to find a distributor to bring it to theaters.
In the film, Williams, a married man, falls for a male prostitute. The story chronicles the struggle the character experiences as he comes out as an older man.
A source revealed to the Mirror that “… it is looking impossible that Boulevard will ever see the light of day.” They continued by saying, ” The cast have tried, as have the crew. But for many reasons it is looking very unlikely.”
Before his death, Williams spoke about the film describing it as “a beautiful, sad movie.”
In addition to this film, there are three other films starring Williams that are scheduled for release. They are, A Merry Friggin’ Christmas, Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb, and Absolutely Anything.
