Róisín Murphy Joins Forces With DJ Parrot On “Jealousy”

Right at the beginning of her brand-new era, Róisín Murphy joined her forces with DJ Parrot for yet another dance collaboration, titled “Jealousy”.

After eight years of absence, Róisín Murphy is returning to the scene for good this year with her third studio album, Hairless Toys. However, she did find time for yet another collaboration and this time she teamed up with DJ Parrot for an amazing dance tune, “Jealousy.”

Even though Róisín Murphy’s comeback track, “Gone Fishing,” is amazing in its own right, it’s not the dance-floor extravaganza that some were looking forward to. Thankfully, “Jealousy” is. The vintage disco-house production is filled with pulsing beats and an endless repetition of the title, with some great, sensual vocals from the songstress. It might not be lead-single material that you would expect from the former Moloko bandmate, but it’s definitely closer to her glorious Overpowered days.

Róisín Murphy recently paid a visit to BBC Radio 1 and discussed her comeback, further announcing the beginning of her new era. Since she made sure to drop several club collaborations like “Jealousy” during her absence, the release of this one at this point pretty much seems like the unofficial end of an era. Whatever the case, it’s always a delight to have the songstress deliver music for our listening pleasure, so let’s just sit back and enjoy it.

Take a listen to “Jealousy” below.
