If there is one fact that everyone in Hollywood should know, it is definitely to not cross Roseanne Barr.
Two & A Half Men star Ashton Kutcher and creator Chuck Lorre received the wrath of the controversial Queen of Comedy after she received word that the hit CBS show used some of her material.
Barr took to Twitter to blast Two’s leading men for stealing one of her jokes.
“Friends told me that Ashton Kutcher is stealing my jokes without any sense of being conscious of being a f****** thief. #chucklorre,” Tweeted the superstar.
After blasting Kutcher, she then turned her attention towards for her former Executive Producer.
“I can C chuck in the room: ‘guys, let’s b careful when lifting jokes frm comics-don’t steal copyrighted HBO special jokes-b more discreet,’” Barr tweeted.
The joke that sent Roseanne on a Twitter rant focused around Ashton’s character commenting about how he would be at 91-years-old: “I’d imagine that you’re wet in the places you used to be dry, and dry in the places you used to be wet.”
Ashton’s reference focused on an old 2006 joke that Barr told about menopause.
“A—hole Kutcher is stealing my ‘wet where I’m supposed to be dry’ joke @JohnnyArgnet mother—ing thief,” Barr added.
However, after taking a break to think about it, the crass comedian decided to apologize to the duo as she wrote: “I forgive Ashton and Chuck! It’s prob one of their writer’s fault!”
But two days later, Roseanne backtracked to her original stance: “one thing [C]huck [L]orre will never do: apologize for lifting material from me or other comics or other tv shows.”
Chuck Lorre, Ashton Kutcher, or CBS have not yet responded to Barr’s comments and PopWrapped will continue to follow this feud as it develops.
