Rosie O’Donnell’s missing daughter, Chelsea, was found on Tuesday (August 18). The former co-host of The View had published a blog post earlier on in the day asking for help locating her 17-year old daughter, who was reported missing had not been seen since August 11. Chelsea suffers from mental illness and had stopped taking her medication prior to her disappearance.
Thankfully, the girl was located in New Jersey that evening. O’Donnell informed her followers on twitter, saying:

Police in both South Nyack and Barnegat worked together to retrieve Chelsea from a home in Barnegat Township, New Jersey, reportedly without incident.
Unfortunately, the ending isn’t entirely happy. O’Donnell took to twitter again on Wednesday (August 19) to let her followers know exactly where Chelsea was found. Chelsea had apparently met heroin user and reported dealer Steve Sheerer, age 25, on Tinder. In addition to numerous drug charges, Sheerer has also plead guilty to endangering the welfare of two children. Police were able to trace Chelsea’s phone to Sheerer’s house, and subsequently located her, unharmed, in his attic. He initially lied to police, claiming she wasn’t there.
One of the police officers involved said that there was no evidence that Sheerer and Chelsea were sexually involved, but did say that they met “through Tinder sometime in July“. Patrolman Dapuzzo also said that Chelsea had only stayed with Sheerer a few nights and had refused to disclose other details.
