Ruby Rose Twitter Bashes Kanye West

Ruby Rose took to Twitter to defend her friend Taylor Swift against Kanye West’s presumption that he “made [her] famous.” Friendship trumps hate!

The Kanye West and Taylor Swift debacle has piqued everyone’s interest! After her spectacular and not so subtle burn to her fellow singer, Swift is basking in the glow of the internet’s admiration.

Well, some of the internet.

Many members of the acting community are taking sides in this “custody battle” of who is truly responsible for Taylor Swift’s rise to stardom. One of these actors is Australian badass Ruby Rose.

The Orange is the New Black star took to her Twitter account to call out not only Kanye West, but also took the time to say how Bill Cosby had “too many lines crossed.”

While it may be true that Kanye was really referring to Taylor Swift on his new album The Life of Pablo, that does not give him the right to presume he made ANYBODY famous. That kind of talk just inflates the ego, eventually resulting in a rather massive, if hilarious, explosion.

Rose made her opinions on the matter very clear in her next tweet:

Of course, some people are still content to judge actors by how many minutes of airtime they have (and yes, Netflix is now included in that number). One twitter user, @AkilahObviously, questioned Rose’s credentials, and thus her ability to comment on the singers’ feud.

And Rose responded beautifully.

Other users, like @8RedNinja8, came to Rose’s defense, saying, “This has nothing to do with Ruby’s credentials & everything to do with the sense there’s selective feminism here.”

But Ruby Rose doesn’t let anything or anyone sway her opinion of right and wrong. The day after her defense of Taylor Swift, Rose tweeted that she is “a fan of progress” and that there should be “no homophobia, no racism, no sexism. Period.”

So at the end of the day, we should all have a solid friend and human being like Ruby Rose. She’s not afraid to speak her mind and actively praises her friends when they do something wonderful!

Ten for you, Ruby Rose! You go, Ruby Rose!
