Actor/comedian Russell Brand has never been one to hold back, and a YouTube rant he posted last Tuesday (June 24) is no exception.

Brand struck out at Fox News in reaction to host Jeanine Pirro’s comments about the current situation between the United States and Iraq. She essentially called President Obama a coward, and said there was one way to deal with Iraq: “My resolution? Airstrikes. Bomb them, bomb them, keep bombing them, bomb them again! And I don’t care how long it takes. Just take out ISIS.”

Does anyone hear that? It’s Fox‘s reputation falling even further into the gutter.

She then continues to rant on the “band of savages” who are “coming for us,” as she claims she has told us all in the past.

Well, Brand had quite a few things to say about that: “When they do these bombings, it creates more insurgence. That’s what creates them. It creates more terrorism…”

His solution to the conflict overseas is also a lot more rational than Pirro’s, quite frankly, whacked, suggestion: “That’s the thing that is required, is justice. Justice and tolerance and compassion, letting them have self-governance. Aid for their refugees in their region, try and stabilize them and help them to create infrastructure. Not the bombing, bombing, bombing system, not referring to fellow human beings as savages.”

“Fox News…is a fanatical terrorist propagandist organization,” he added. “She’s [Jeanine’s] the savage. She’s espousing savage values.”

In conclusion, he labels Pirro’s comments as “incendiary” and “volatile, combative, angry” language: “That is more dangerous than ISIS, that attitude. That’s far-reaching. That is affecting millions and millions of people.”

I don’t often agree with Russell Brand, but in this case, he is definitely right on the money.
