Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe will be staring as a detective duo in Shane Black’s cop drama, Nice Guys.
The film will be produced by Joel Silver, known for Lethal Weapon, Die Hard and The Matrix franchise. Warner Brothers has acquired North American Rights to the film.
The script is written by Shane Black and Anthony Bagarozzi. The film is set in Los Angeles in the 1970s. It will focus on a pair of detectives, Jackson Healy and Holland March, who investigate the suicide of a female porn star whose career was on decline. This leads to the uncovering of a criminal conspiracy,
Nice Guys was originally written as a television show, but has since been refitted to a movie.
