It was reported that Ryan Gosling recently got into talks with Marvel Studios for the role of Doctor Strange in the upcoming film of the same name. Even though it’s still just rumor, it will be a difficult decision for him, especially since he’s thought to have been offered another couple of roles, including one from DC.
Marvel recently saw Joaquin Phoenix walking away from the project, so speculation has once again begun regarding the leading actor in Doctor Strange. Even though there’s a long list, including Ewan McGregor, Matthew McConaughey, Jake Gyllenhaal, Oscar Isaac, Jared Leto, and Ethan Hawke, Gosling is the most possible one so far to play Sorcerer Supreme Stephen Strange.
Another role offered to Ryan Gosling comes from The Secret Life of Houdini: The Making of America’s First Superhero. However, Marvel’s main rival over the actor is most probably DC, who allegedly wants him for Suicide Squad as well. He’s got a lot of offers in his plate right now, but as far as the ones from Marvel and DC go, we think he’s going to have to pick only one of them.
