Sabrina Carpenter is a 16-year-old actress you know as Maya in Girl Meets World, the popular Boy Meets World spin off. Carpenter is a talented young artist, and sings this song along with her sister.

“We have the image of what we’re doing for the video and we have the storyline and the plot. Something that fits the song more than anything and then can go with the video. Because ‘Eyes Wide Open’ has some very awesome clothes, thanks to my stylist.”
When she sings, you don’t expect the voice that comes out. She sounds so pure and beyond her years. Her sound is not the pop you’re used to open. It’s sultry and smooth. The chorus could almost lend itself to a country track. She enters an almost glam/goth paradise as she sings in the video. The video is stunning.
