Salt Ashes caught everyone’s attention when she released “Somebody” last year and later continued to amaze with its follow-up, “If You Let Me Go”. The songstress has now dropped another utterly amazing new track, titled “Raided”, and it’s available for our listening pleasure.
The songstress, actually named Veiga Sanchez, had a thing for disco right from the start, but she goes all-in with this one. The pulsing beats of “Raided” make it the perfect late-night-drunk dancefloor jam, with Salt Ashes’ airy vocals on top of the melody taking it to a whole different level. The production is slick as ever, with an elegance to it, only the track has some dark vibes throughout that give extra space to its guilty and haunted atmosphere.
Apparently, there’s also an interesting story behind the creation of “Raided”. According to Salt Ashes, she was inspired by how people were “escaping the outside world” at an underground club in Berlin and “tried to imagine what their real stories were” to write it. So there you have it; a genuine artist who puts out some solid pieces of music every now and then, and you should get into her, if you haven’t already.
