There may be some slight fangirling happening at the moment here, so you’ve been forewarned.

Sam Smith has announced that his new single will be the soaring ballad “Lay Me Down,” from his debut album, In The Lonely Hour.

This, of course, means a music video is probably in the works as well. I don’t know about you, but I am currently a contradiction of completely ready for the soul-shattering set to take place…and absolutely not at all ready.

That’s not all, though.

Smith has also recorded a brand new version for release.

You can preorder “Lay Me Down” here. It will be available on February 22.

Smith is currently on the European leg of his 2015 tour, with the next date scheduled for February 3 in Holland. There are still a few venues left with tickets available, which you can see here. Trust me, he’s fantastic live! Don’t miss out.
