Samantha Bee Trolled Vanity Fair For Late-Night Photo

With Samantha Bee heading back to our TVs soon, she’ll be the only woman leading late-night television — and, boy!, does she know it.

Samantha Bee has never shied away from gender politics, and she’s no stranger to the idea that late-night television is a bit of a boys’ club. She is best known for being a correspondent on the male-dominated The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, and there were even rumours that she moved on from Comedy Central because she wasn’t considered to replace Stewart when he retired. Bee has a new show joining the ranks this winter, called Full Frontal with Samantha Bee.

Vanity Fair‘s October cover story is called “Why Late-Night Television Is Better Than Ever”, and it came with a pretty sweet (if heavily-photoshopped) picture.  Samantha Bee seemed to approve of the shot:

She, then, had some thoughts on how it could be improved, so she tweeted her own version back at Vanity Fair.

I think she nailed it!

Check out the promo video for Full Frontal (slightly NSFW).  Will you be tuning in when it premieres on TBS in January?
