Jimmy Fallon’s The Tonight Show never ceases to breath fresh air into the institution of late night talk shows.
Last night, your favorite first-class-snake fighter Samuel L. Jackson shouted some of that new air, in the form of cigarette-smoke-laden slam poetry regarding a classic 90’s sitcom, Boy Meets World.
Envisioning a time when Sam Jackson may have sat in front of his TV on a Friday night waiting for the show to air may seem farfetched, but he goes through the entire BMW cast with the fervor of a true fan. From Cory (“Short and average, head full of curls”) to his BFF Shawn (“one man’s trailer trash is another man’s treasure”), Jackson doesn’t miss a beat… heartbeat that is (“Topanga, Topanga, Topanga”)!
This poem brings back all of the nostalgia, in a way that I’m sure even Mr. Feeney would give an A+.
