‘Samurai Jack’ Returns To Television In 2016

Early 2000s cartoon Samurai Jack is set to return to television next year.

The journey of a lone warrior traveling across time to defeat the darkness that was Aku ended abruptly on Cartoon Network in September 2004. For some fans, our hearts were broken as the story of Samurai Jack was left unfinished with Aku still undefeated and Jack still not home. But worry not, Jack is coming back.

Adult Swim has announced the return of Samurai Jack in 2016.

Jack’s story went across various time periods and dimensions as he took on bad guys during his quest to try to take down Aku and return to his home time period. Only 52 episodes were aired in the early 2000s, but the show gathered a solid fan base who loved the show.

The story was not completely abandoned, with Jack’s story being picked up in comic book form in 2013.

The time of speculation over Jack’s fate seems to almost be over. Hopefully, with the return of the show, we can finally get the end to the story that we’ve all been aching to find out.
