Gearing up for its 39th season, Saturday Night Live has added six new members to the cast.
SNL writer Mike O’Brien, AT&T advertisers Beck Bennett and Kyle Mooney, Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre veterans John Milhiser and Noël Wells, and comic Brooks Wheelan have all been announced as joining the cast, reports Digital Spy.
It was also revealed this week that Cecily Strong will be helping Seth Meyers as co-anchor of the “Weekend Update” segment.
Unfortunately, with additions to the cast come some subtractions, Tim Robinson will work only as a writer for the new season, and veterans Fred Armisen, Bill Hader, and Jason Sudeikis have all left the show.
The new season of SNL premieres September 28, with host Tina Fey and a performance by Arcade Fire.
