Get ready for our last trip down the rabbit hole! The most recent Once Upon A Time In Wonderland promo did not go unnoticed, saying the next and thirteenth episode would be the series finale. That means we’ve only got one episode to revive Cyrus, defeat Jafar, reunite Anastasia and Will, and get the hell out of Wonderland.

Does this mean they’re moving the Wonderland cast to Storeybrooke?

Sadly, the show’s cancellation doesn’t come as a surprise. Since the beginning, the spinoff has been trying to get more ratings to no avail. It seems not everyone wants to take a trip through the Red Queen’s lands.

According to IGN, the late Thursday timeslot is never a good place for any television show that wishes to garner more views. Apparently, that placement caught the team completely off guard, after initially planning to run Wonderland in the same slot as its parent show during the Once Upon A Time off season. As it is, Oncers didn’t make the switch, and the show suffered in ratings.

But as much as we want Alice and Cyrus’ love story to continue, the producers have had a different plan from the get-go. The first season was always intended to be a stand-alone grouping of episodes, with a defined beginning, middle, and end to the romantic adventure story.

Grab your tissues and pack your bags, fans! Next week marks the last rabbit hole out of Wonderland.
