As if Scarlett Johansson wasn’t already a badass, she throws some serious punches and gains ethereal telekinetic powers in the new movie Lucy. Universal Pictures released the following synopsis of the film:
“A drug mule accidentally swallows her cargo and finds she now has superpowers.”
Does it sound kind of bizarrely awesome? Yes, and the trailer totally proves it.
Here’s the first look at Lucy:
ScarJo is no stranger to action films as her training for the role of Black Widow transformed her into one of today’s most popular action heroes. From the looks of the trailer, Johansson seems to be the obvious choice to dethrone Arnold Schwarzenegger as Hollywood’s biggest action star.
Starring in the film alongside Johansson will be the legendary Morgan Freeman and Analeigh Tipton.
While you’re waiting to see Lucy unleash herself into theaters August 8th, watch ScarJo kick butt as Black Widow in Marvel’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
