Marvel fans, hold on to your capes –we have the latest Doctor Strange movie news!
According to Deadline, Scott Derrickson will direct the upcoming flick. He is best known for his work on the horror film, Sinister.
Derrickson revealed his involvement with the project via his Twitter account: “My next movie will be STRANGE.”

Instead, Doctor Strange relies on his mystical sorcery powers and martial arts skills to protect Earth from ethereal beings.
In addition to a director, Marvel may have found their Sorcerer Supreme! IGN recently reported Marvel’s interest in Oscar-winner and 30 Seconds to Mars frontman, Jared Leto, to play the titular.
Fans who saw Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier received their first hint at the Doctor Strange movie when the sorcerer’s alter ego, Steven Strange, was fleetingly mentioned by S.H.I.E.L.D. agent-turned-Hydra-disciple, Jasper Sitwell.
Doctor Strange may be the newest addition to Phase Three of the Marvel Universe, following Antman and Captain America 3.
