Chicago Fire characters Jim Barnes and Officer Nicole Sermons have gone up in smoke, folks.
Despite appearing in the backdoor pilot that set the stage for the series’ spinoff Chicago PD, actors Scott Eastwood and Tania Raymonde quietly left the show over the summer, according to TV Line.
No details have been reported on the departures, only that they were due to “creative reasons”. The NBC show, currently on a mid-season break until January, has seen several comings and goings within the cast this year.
In June, Melissa Sagemiller and Kelly Blatz left. Sagemiller, originally intended to play Chicago PD’s lead character, left in June for undisclosed reasons.
Not long afterwards, Sophia Bush, Patrick Flueger, and Jesse Lee Soffer joined the cast.
Chicago PD’s season one trailer hit the web earlier this week, introducing fans to Sergeant Hank Voight, The Latino Post reports. Played by Jason Beghe, Voight leads the Intelligence Unit and isn’t afraid to bend the rules, even if his methods aren’t exactly conventional.
Chicago PD premieres in the New Year on Wednesday, January 8 at 10 PM EST.
What do you think, PopWrappers? Will it be a hit or go up in flames?
