The upcoming MTV series Scream just gained a new cast member! The talented Amelia Rose Blaire has officially joined the cast of the 10 episode first season. This won’t be Blaire’s first horror rodeo, with the actress previously starring in the extremely popular HBO series True Blood as the startlingly innocent Willa Burrell, who later tasted the dark side as one of Eric Northman’s vampire companions. Given Blaire’s convincing transition on True Blood, she should make a splendid addition to the highly anticipated horror series.
TVLine reports that Blaire will play Piper Shay, an insightful podcast host who’s gained extreme notoriety, and decides to pursue her inquisitive nature to hopefully solve the string of murders that sets off the series. Scream recently premiered various trailers to capture the familiar traits of the cult classic film franchise, and is set to debut on a special night of horror, Tuesday June 30th with the two-part premiere of Teen Wolf.
