11 years after the show went off air, the cast of Firefly is finally reuniting!
Yes you heard right, the cast is set to reunite for the Firefly online game, which is currently in development. I’ll give you a moment to freak out about this news…
This announcement was made at the San Diego Comic Con, where apparently dreams still do come true. In Firefly Online players will get to control their own crew and travel the universe in an MMO kind of atmosphere. The official description of the game is that “Players take on the role of a ship captain as they here a crew and lead missions, while trading with and competing against millions of other players like themselves.”
All cast members, I repeat, all cast members will be reprising their roles! Alan Tudyk, who played fan favorite Wash, will also be returning and voicing additional background characters.
The beloved series was sadly cancelled in 2003, well before its time, and fans have been earnestly yearning for some sort of reunion. Check out Firefly’s first official gameplay trailer below.
