Avant-garde and glamorous performer, singer and song-writer Sean The Star Emperor returns with an intoxicating new single “Witch Disco” which PopWrapped are delighted to premiere. The nu disco infused pop song radiates with whimsical layered synths and warmly confident vocals over a steady electronic beat. 

“Witch Disco” details the return of going out and the evening pleasures that can ensue and Sean says of the track: “This is a song about returning to the nightlife/civilization after being sequestered in lockdown, due to the pandemic, or in general from societal obligations, like raising a family, or from being bound by work constraints: “‘Champions’ welcome back and enjoy the magic of the ‘Witch Disco.'” It is a song of seducing the innocent, or the unexpecting, into indulging in their carnal urges.” 

After being locked up for so long and with the vaccine roll-out well underway, allowing us all to get back to some semblance of normality, “Witch Disco” is a hopeful anthem about connection and fun. In the accompanying theatrical visuals, Sean is seen performing spiritual rituals and dancing in a voodoo-themed costume at a secluded, enticing beach. The music video is whimsical, unique and slightly haunting in nature – a perfect visual treat just in time for Halloween. 

“Witch Disco” is the second single of the year from the Los Angeles based space pop artist. In May, he released the glittery pride anthem “Paradise” to much acclaim. Known for his riveting live performances and his genre-bending releases, he strives to create songs that destroy heteronormativity and unleash our inner desires, hopes and dreams.
